Moving On

After many years of a nomadic lifestyle, Gael decides to settle down in one place, only to discover that it's not her destiny.

What is her "destiny" as it were? How does destiny work exactly?

This is the girl who disappeared in the last limiline. I'm not really sure how she turned up here, right in the midst of her destiny yet to be, but which she couldn't enjoy, because of it no longer being before her, and unknown.

Now she's a very hard person to get ahold of, to ask life finally worked out for her. She always shows up, just after the searcher leaves.

I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote these last two comments - they dont make that much sense to me now.

She was not running but just couldn't stand to follow her fate like a superhighway to death. When, tired and alone, she decided to stay still a moment she realised her destiny was the shadow she had always seen out of the corner of her eye. Now she was blinded by the flash of the street lights as they passed overhead and the exit sign that read Suburbia. She preferred a life without sign posts. She didn't want to see the end coming. She held her breath as she booked a plane ticket.

Gael's destiny is to sail the oceans in her yellow motorboat with her parakeet for company. But she doesn't know that. Not yet at least.

Destiny is keeping it a secret for the time being. She likes being mysterious, Destiny does. She likes making Gael wonder what her true calling is.

Maybe Gael will discover the answer someday -- the day that Destiny decides to reveal her secret. And then the yellow motorboat will set out for the ocean carrying Gael and her winged friend.
